Analog Terminal Adapter.

The Norstar Analog Terminal Adapter-2 (ATA-2) converts Norstar digital interfaces to Analog for communication with such analog devices as single line telephones, FAX machines, modems and answering machines. Single line sets can interface with Norstar system features such as Call Waiting, Call Forward and many more.
The ATA-2 provides a means of connecting a single line set to the Norstar system in either a long loop or off-premise extension configuration.
The Analog Terminal Adapter-2 (ATA-2) supports all the features currently supported by the EATA. As well, it has been enhanced to support faster data transmission speeds, up to and including 28.8 kbps, and has a more compact design for a simplified installation. (Note that the maximum data transmission rate is subject to the quality of the end-to-end channel and cannot be guaranteed.)
The ATA-2 is powered by a grounded AC power supply that is packaged with the ATA 2 CMS/CLASS feature interworking is not supported by any version of the Analog Terminal Adapter.

Norstar ATA II (Analog Terminal Adapter) NT8B90AL

The Norstar Enhanced Analog Terminal Adapter 2 serves as an interface between
the digital station set ports and analog tip-plus-ring devices.

the digital station set ports and analog tip-plus-ring devices.
