With Partner, AT&T introduced the concept of an electronic key telephone system that supported both a range of System phones plus low-cost standard telephones. Partner was also designed for end-user self installation. Circuit cards are encased in large, plastic shells that are designed to be easy to fit together with little chance of error. All connections are done with modular plugs With 2 pair (4 wires) of wires. The system handles variety of configuration to meet all needs and provide standard features like MOH, paging and voicemails.
